ExpoTalent professionals help BUas alumni with free advice

You once studied at BUas, perhaps even Event Management. Maybe you have ideas for your own event or trade fair. Free help is now available! This means you can make use of the services and expertise of the ExpoTalent Foundation free of charge. Once your event has actually taken place, the foundation expects a contribution in return. It is a kind of ‘no cure, no pay’ arrangement.

ExpoTalent is an initiative of trade fair professionals Ton Otten, Ids Boersma and Gert-Jan van den Nieuwenhoff, former board members of Jaarbeurs Utrecht, RAI Amsterdam and Rotterdam Ahoy, respectively.

Ids Boersma has a background in national and international marketing and has worked for RAI Amsterdam for a total of 25 years in various positions, starting in 2007 as Managing Director of the Trade Shows division and as a member of the senior management of RAI Amsterdam.

Ton Otten began his career in 1984 as Business Controller at Koninklijke Jaarbeurs and has since progressed to become Finance Director, Managing Director and Director International. The past twenty years have primarily been focused on driving the growth of foreign investments in China and Southeast Asia.

After graduating from BUas, Gert-Jan van den Nieuwenhoff started his career in the travel industry. In 1988, he was project manager at MECC Maastricht and later head of Conference Affairs. From 2001 to 2019, Gert-Jan was General Manager at Rotterdam Ahoy.
