Leisure & Events has a Sounding Board, which consists of students, lecturers and people from the industry who think along with the renewal of the curriculum of Leisure & Events? Which skills needs to be developed for our students to make them future proof? What are other important insight from the industry which needs to be taken into account?

Some insights we have learned from the industry during the first session

  • Professionals need to think about ethical challenges, need to reflect critically on one’s own actions and need to build strong professional networks
  • Project management is about anticipating and controlling planning, negotiation, risk management and aligning with stakeholders
  • Industry partners emphasized that experience designers must excel at concepting to create memorable meaning, at storytelling and at combining creative vision with practical feasibility

We have had our first meeting with the Sounding Board in the beginning of October, and we are organizing the second edition on Thursday afternoon 19th March 2026.
